So Bart had been saying that we were going to go down to SLC to celebrate my birthday. He had it all planned, the restaurant the date, the time, etc. He even called me one day with a fabulous idea... A chick flick, my choice. (Wow, am I dreaming-a chick flick without force?).
Well I asked him what time we were going to get down there for dinner (I had some stores I wanted to hit). He said 7:30 (no questions asked, he was prepared). It was a Saturday, so 7:30 seemed a little sketchy to me. I kept saying, well can we do it earlier like 5? Anyway, all the sudden he came into the room and said "we can go early and try to eat around 5." In my mind I was like "duh" that seems pretty smart to try to miss the big crowds.
He also kept hinting that he had a surprise for me... He knows I don't usually like surprises, so I was really wondering what was up. (He learned the hard way when we were dating, I didn't react to the surprises the way he envisioned it, he thought he was being prince charming, which he was and most girls would've flipped, but I saw way more into them. Surprises stressed me out. Plus I'm a planner and an investigator, I do countless research before any major purchase (just ask Kimi). To sum it up surprises for me could likely cause racing heartrate, sweating, breakups, anxiety, etc.). I think Kimi even called Bart once and told him "to be careful with random stop-bys" as they usually threw off my routine.
So we get down to SLC and he has a little surprise for me, A Girls Night. As we were walking to the restaurant, he all the sudden was like "I figured, the best thing I could give you for your birthday, would be a Girls Night." He took off and it was just the girls (Me, Kimi, and Kasey). Dinner and a movie on him. Do I have an awsome husband or what?
THE BEST SURPRISE EVER: A NIGHT WITH THE GIRLS!!!
I should've known something was up when he was so willing to hit a chick flick.
Thanks Bart, I will never forget this birthday. You made it very special.
