Bart has this goal to go to every baseball stadium in U.S. (Although I think Toronto's on the list). He collects a ball from each stadium and is extremely proud. He's got a lot from the east from living out there, serving his mission there, and his old territory used to be GeBama (Georgia & Alabama). And his new territory is the West, so that's pretty exciting there's a whole new world of games now on the West that he's been hitting. He just got home from his last trip to Fresno, and was able to hit an Oakland A's game. (His favorite team when he was young). He had the "best hot dogs" ever (the description of them made me queazy but he was in heaven).
He put his new baseball in the case last night, and it was pretty cool. This case tells the story of his adult life. We went through baseball by baseball and he could tell me what was going on in his life, the ups & down, the girlfriends, the breakups, and the special people that he went to each game with. He's hit 17 out of 30 stadiums so far and we're still working on the rest. He does have one ball that came back with black stitches instead of red, so I think that one might have to be a do-over.
He went through all the places that he still needs to go. It looks like we have our vacations booked out for the next 13 years (he says 1 a year). He should be able to knock a few out in work trips, but there are still some that will be special trips.
Just one of the many reasons I love my husband!
