11 Months
A FEW FUN FACTS:
- Loves yogurt although he's not a big fan of sitting in his highchair and eating (unless it's yogurt). Eating is such an inconvenience for him so far. We're still working on it.
- Oh and don't bother trying to sneak anything in behind the yogurt, it's amazing how quick he detects it and spits out whatever you tried to sneak in, "nice try, mom"
- Loves little things that fit in his hand: chapstick is a big favorite, along with those little tubes of vaseline, numbzit, desitin, the little hand sanitizer bottles, etc.) I have to give these to him to try and entertain him so I can change his diaper. Every day I go around the house collecting them to put them back for the next round.
- Loves Cords & strings- he will find any cord in the house and will be happy for hours.
- Loves the cell phones and remote controls (they better be the real deal, though)
- Loves baths - you sit him in the tub and he immediately drops to his stomach and starts swimming around. He is ALL OVER THE PLACE. He also thinks its funny to stick his face in the water and blow bubbles. He puts his head down then comes up laughing.
- Loves sucking on his blanket. That's his comfort. You give him his blanket and he immediately searches for the corner and shoves as much into his mouth as possible. It's so funny when he falls asleep in his carseat and I come to get him. There's just the blanket hanging out of his mouth.
- Can now stand up in his crib - whenever you put him in there theres a lot of scurrying to stand up. Sometimes it gets in the way of the naps. But the best part is when he hears footsteps outside his door or a creek. The tiniest little noise and you hear all this scurryng in his bed and you walk into a big smile. Not to mention a lot of little teeth marks.
- wakes up in the middle of the night crying when he can't find his blanket or his corner and he's too tired to look for it. I walk in and he's just sitting there, eyes closed crying. It's heartbreaking. But once you get it for him, he goes right back to sleep.
- Loves people walking with him. He would do that all day if my back could take it. The only bad thing is when you stop he throws himself on the floor and bangs his head because he's so mad. Isn't it a little early for tantrums?
- He doesn't like to be ignored. We were at the checkout stand one day and he kept staring at the checker I guess wondering when she was gonna notice him. She was busy scanning our items so he piped in "AHH UHH DA" until she noticed him. He now does that all the time when he wants people to notice him or talk to him. He started a conversation with some kids at the park the other day. It was pretty funny.
- Priceless, the look on his face when Bart gets home from work. So adorable.
- Loves walks (especially with Papa Craig) - they are quite the little buddies.
